THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le Cafe Miche Restaurant Review:
Le Café Miche, from Danish chef Claus Hjortkjaer (pronounced YORT-care) and his wife, Linda, is a friendly place that greets every guest with a complimentary snack of the house pâté to nibble on while studying the menu. Hjortkjaer's Scandinavian heritage shows in sly ways, like pairing pickled red cabbage with house-made pâté, or his legendary gravlax, a dish of cured salmon served with a mustard and dill sauce. However, most of the menu is French and classics such as bouillabaisse, veal sweetbreads in sherry and duck à l'orange remind us of the glory days of French cooking. Lunch offers crêpes---an especially good version is made with grilled salmon---duck confit and an outstanding crab cake salad.
