THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le Petit Mistral Restaurant Review:
A quick scan of the lunch crowd tells the tale: The restaurants move from Capitol Hill to McLean, Virginia, has not diminished its popularity. The faces in the crowd, though, are definitely different. Instead of power brokers, there is a leisure crowd who can linger over dessert until mid-afternoon. No one seems bothered by a big-city tab, although the prix-fixe three-course lunch---and probably the prix-fixe dinner---has many takers. The regular menu offers a fair assortment of dishes, from sautéed frog legs with garlic to that always-stunning retro dish, chateaubriand for two. The higher-priced dinner menu resembles the lunch menu, with several additions, including mignonettes of pork and seared jumbo sea scallops.
