The quarter-of-a-century-old Chinese restaurant is situated in Le Windsor, formerly known as the Windsor Hotel. The building is a fine example of Montreal's architectural heritage and a good setting to enjoy the cuisine. The chefs continually reinvent their dishes while preserving tradition. The menu offers an array of Szechuan and Cantonese specialties. Expect meat, poultry, seafood and fresh seasonal produce to be a large step above what you'll find in Chinatown. Among the offerings is authentic Peking duck with crispy skin and juicy meat that make it worth the hefty tab. Though prices in general border on exorbitant, service and food are topnotch. A tower of 3,000 wine bottles in the center of the dining area holds a vast selection from the premier wine growing regions around the globe. The restaurant's more than 600 wine options range from affordable to sky high.
