Leatherbacks exists in a long-established location en route to the Gulf beaches. Despite a traditional menu of seafood, steak and chicken, there are a few creative touches, such as the seared five-spice ahi sashimi appetizer served with wasabi, pickled ginger and sesame-garlic-soy dipping sauce. The best bet is the market fish of the day, fried, grilled or blackened, with a choice of a half-dozen sauces, including a hickory-smoked tomato-garlic option. Grilled specialties include the prosciutto-basil chicken, topped with mushrooms and a lemon butter sauce.
