THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Les Tamales Restaurant Review:

We admit had our doubts when we heard about Franco-Latina Cuisina coming to West Seattle (or anywhere for that matter), but the concept mostly works. This cheery little place has pink-speckled walls, aluminum table tops, the usual Mexican bric-a-brac and a live flamenco guitarist on Saturdays. It also has quesadillas stuffed with duck confit, asadero cheese and frisée and flautas filled with goat cheese, smoked onion and spinach. We admire the intricate molé sauce on the chicken and rice burrito and marvel at salmon napoleon, layered and stuffed with diced shrimp, ranchero cheese, roma tomatoes and green onion sauced with puréed yellow and red peppers. Portions are hefty, especially those that come with jalapeño mashed potatoes and rice and beans. Thirty tequilas, a half dozen hand-shaken margaritas and several Mexican beers are among the bar’s attractions. The wine list is considerably shorter, but no less interesting.
