Les Vieux Murs Restaurant Review:
While other restaurateurs fret over half-empty dining rooms, the owner of Les Vieux Murs has to turn would-be patrons away. Sure, the lovely covered terrace with its view of the port has something to do with it. The biggest attraction however has long been the excellent set menu. In this vaulted-ceiling dining room just around the corner from the Picasso museum and built into the ramparts signed by none other than Vauban, the quality of both the cuisine and the reception have in the past seen low and high tides, but the doctor's medicine seemed to have taken effect on our last visit. The young, efficient staff was quick-footed, and the full flavors well under the control of the chef's nimble hand. The wine list exhibits a preference for Provençal and Bordeaux wines.
