THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Limoncello Restaurant Review:
Limoncello has a loyal following of locals who vie for tables in the noisy, convivial dining room. If you don't have a reservation, you can opt for a table and quick service in the adjacent bar. Named for the lemon-flavored apéritif from Italy's Amalfi coast, the warm yellow exterior, gold and orange earth tones inside and an open kitchen create a warm space. Classic dishes like grilled squid tossed with spicy chorizo and arugula and sweet black mussels with garlic and olive oil (laced with a little hot pepper) are wonderful starters. Handmade pastas, from tender gnocchi to silky pappardelle, are worth the carb splurge, but you can be just as happy with the fresh fish of the day and vegetables. Service is friendly and efficient. The wine bar is perfect for a romantic tête-à-tête.
