THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Lobster King Restaurant Review:
Lobster King's drab location next to the Viet Hoa Market on a seedy street should not deter the hungry from seeking out the fresh seafood dishes and authentic Hong Kong-style dim sum at lunch. These delicious treats are made to order during the week and served from rolling carts on the weekend (you point and pick whatever looks good). Dumplings of all kinds, sweet rice wrapped in leaves with shrimp and pork, salted and spicy shrimp, the list goes on and on. Many of the dishes are made from seafood that was swimming in tanks at the market next door before being cooked. Choices include cranberry shrimp, snapper with black bean sauce, Dungeness crab and, of course, lobster. The dining room is freshened up, but it’s still your usual Chinese restaurant décor. Expect a wait for Sunday’s dim sum, and BYOB, since the restaurant does not serve beer, wine or liquor.
