This is Epcot's most popular restaurant, serving heaping plates of pasta to thousands of tourists every day of the year. Needless to say, le originali fettuccine all'Alfredo is the most-requested dish, made with pasta that's cut on the premises and the same brand of Parmesan cheese imported from Reggio Emilia that Alfredo's has used for more than 50 years. Start with calamari fritti or an antipasto, then a carb-laden bowl of noodles. You can choose from trenette al pesto Genovese (imported linguine with pesto sauce), ziti alla Mediterranea (ziti with fresh mozzarella, Sicilian olives and fresh tomatoes) or lasagna baked with veal and cheese. There's also farm-raised chicken roasted with rosemary and sage, five variations on veal, and shrimp and salmon creations. We love the pasta so much that we rarely order beyond so we can save room for a cannoli or a gelati and espresso. The dining room is especially lively in the evenings, when the strolling musicians start a napkin-waving frenzy that overtakes most of the dining room---everyone, it seems, wants to join in the singing.
