Lungarno Bistrot Restaurant Review:

Lungarno Bistrot overlooks the Arno River and is located two bridges down from the Ponte Vecchio in front of Palazzo Corsini. The interior is classic and elegant. But, of course, when the weather permits, al fresco dining on the mini square out front is what most guests will prefer. Chefs Francesco Fumarola and Giuseppe Ancona offer local Tuscan dishes and are well known for their fish preparations. Tasting menus highlighting both respectively are available. Try the homemade “cavatelli” with mixed seafood (shrimp, squid, mussels and clams with olive oil, garlic and chili pepper), one of the house specialties, as a first course; and a tempura-style fried mixed seafood with vegetables. Desserts include a chocolate soufflé and apple tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream. The wine list touts almost 100 labels, mainly Italian, and there are some first-rate choices from France as well. Vegetarian and gluten-free accommodated on request.
