THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Matchbox Restaurant Review:

Matchbox, which overlooks Palm Canyon Drive, has a wood-burning oven that heats to 700 degrees. It churns out fresh, thin-crusted pizza with traditional and trendy toppings. We like the balance of the crisp crust paired with the fresh arugula, the sweetness of figs and thin slices of prosciutto. But there’s more to this place than simply pizza. Choose from savory sliders and pan-seared Atlantic salmon; grilled rib-eye steaks and double-cut pork chops cover the entire plate. Apple and pear salad with Gorgonzola isn’t cutting edge, but it’s ample in size, with added crunch from the candied pecans. Among a handful of desserts is crème brûlée. A full bar and a selection of craft beer on tap are available. The best seats in the house are those outside looking on to the street scene, especially on Thursday nights when VillageFest is taking place.
