About the restaurant & décor: This bustling, vegetarian-friendly venue is where the beautiful bodies of West Hollywood do lunch. In addition to a casual café (specializing in freshly squeezed juices and fruit shakes, cappuccino and pastries), Mauro boasts a chic dining room that is anything but an afterthought. With its linen-clad tables, cobblestone floor and bold contemporary artwork, it's a stylish trattoria in which to relax and reflect on the $500 you just spent for a pair of sunglasses.
Food & Drinks: The prices for substantial plates of pasta (penne with porcini mushrooms and sherry wine cream sauce; spaghetti with chicken, jalapeños, arugula, garlic and olive oil) are eminently reasonable. Salads and sautéed vegetables are obviously popular items here, but you're certainly entitled to an indulgent dessert along with that final cup of espresso.
