Bacchanalia Restaurant Review:

Relocating Bacchanalia to a new building about a mile away from its long-tenured home in the Westside Provisions District, owner-chefs and spouses Clifford Harrison and Anne Quatrano continue to turn out the creative cuisine that has made the team among Atlanta's culinary leaders. The design of the space is clean and contemporary, with a soothing, neutral color palette. The fixed-price menu ($95 per person for four courses) is arranged in groups, making it easy to assemble a tasting menu. Caviar, including the popular sturgeon caviar from the University of Georgia, will spike the price tag, and wine pairings, suggested with each item, cost additional dollars. Dishes include the signature crab fritter with Thai pepper, avocado and citrus; foie gras and sweetbreads; local and international cheeses; and wood-grilled Prime NY strip steak. Produce from the couple's Summerland Farm near Cartersville north of Atlanta --- spinach, beets, turnips, farm eggs --- adorns many of the plates. Vegetarians are well accommodated, too. For dessert, consider the canelés. Every dish is enhanced by artful presentation. The first-rate wine list has a thoughtful group of half-bottle dinner wines, port and dessert choices.
