Crews Inn Restaurant Review:
Perched above the Clinton River with lovely views, this waterfront restaurant is a drop-in place, but the menu goes well beyond bar burger fare. Chef Bryan Hankus and his crew turn out a full-scale menu ranging from appetizers of broiled lobster tail with drawn butter, oysters Rockefeller and Cajun beef tips to mains such as pecan-breaded pickerel and veal Oscar. Sandwiches, pizza, burgers and salads (think Greek and antipasto) are available, too. The perch sandwich on a toasted bun is particularly appealing. In warm weather, the open-air deck is a popular seating area overlooking where boaters tie up. Also on tap are live entertainment and game day packages, which include a meal, transportation to and from the game, and another meal. Take advantage of the daily specials: Sundays for a home-style turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and stuffing, seafood on Wednesday, and prime rib on Thursdays. There’s also a nice kids’ menu.
