Perhaps one of the metro area’s zaniest restaurants, this Korean barbecue joint is a hopping madhouse, with noise, music and clanking cutlery more or less drowning out conversation. A fave of many local chefs who come to eat after hours (it’s open 24 hours, seven days a week), it also draws a crowd who favor the rather wacky grilled food. The deal is simple: you pick out what you want from the lengthy menu, order something to drink (try the thick rice beer), and watch as servers deftly grill everything right in front of you at the table. If you are unfamiliar with the type of goodies on offer, including beef mountain tripe, pork belly or beef viscera, stick to such familiar dishes as beef brisket, bulgogi and fried dumplings.
