J.Liu Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review:
In the mood for lobster bisque, chicken wings, steamed mussels, a filet, a burger or Chilean sea bass? How about crab cakes, fried rice, calamari, lettuce wraps, Mongolian beef, pasta or pad thai? This locally owned and operated spot has a diverse (and somewhat successful) menu which you can enjoy in a funky atmosphere. For an appetizer, try the Shanghai pot stickers filled with chicken, vegetables and green onions paired with a light soy dipping sauce. The signature fried rice is studded with eggs, bean sprouts, scallions and light soy sauce with chicken, beef or shrimp. Our favorite pasta dish is comprised of garganelli tossed in a tomato cream sauce with shrimp, spicy Italian sausage, sautéed red peppers and fresh scallions, topped with Parmesan. Sunday brunch brings a prime rib carving station and omelet station into the mix.
