Kroll's East Restaurant Review:

As much a part of Green Bay as the Packers, beer and brats, this decades-old diner stresses fun and functionality, not form. Visitors and locals like it for the dependable food. Rows of booths fill up with the after-church crowd; during the workweek, martini drinkers hightail it to the adjoining leather-padded and carpeted bar-restaurant. For the kid in all of us, enjoy such fountain treats as milk shakes and malts made with real ice cream. Order a hard-roll hamburger, a bowl of chili and freshly battered and fried onion rings. There's also perch, walleye, scallops, blue gill and a grilled yellowfin tuna steak plate. Even better, most are under $10. Push the button on the wall to beckon your server, who will happily bring you everything you need. Desserts include Key lime pie and turtle cheesecake.
