Le Bayou Restaurant Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: Those seeking a stereotypical, noisy Bourbon Street dining experience sometimes consider Le Bayou, a casual spot that struggles to be an “authentic” Cajun and Creole establishment, but never quite hits the mark.

Food & Drinks: The food is unimaginative but serviceable, featuring all of the usual suspects: gumbo, fried green tomatoes, po’ boys, jambalaya, seafood platters and fried everything --- but nothing stands out. The wine offerings are limited and rarely change. Just remember these words to make the experience memorable: deep-fried bananas Foster cheesecake, covered in graham cracker crumbs. The bravest diners may want to ask for a balcony table overlooking the loudest and most raucous block of the street.
