Leverock's Restaurant Review:
Leverock's interior boasts soaring ceilings and dark wood, as well as lots of booth seating. The menu of "casual fare" ranges from a fresh fish taco and salmon grilled or blackened, served with a cup of clam chowder or lobster bisque, to Pasadena grilled chicken (grilled chicken breast topped with barbecue sauce, bacon and Swiss cheese). A cup or even a bowl of the clam chowder is almost a requisite here; Leverock's has built a reputation as having possibly the best clam chowder in town. One local favorite is Mediterranean shrimp and pasta, linguine tossed in a sauce of crushed plum tomatoes, onions, garlic, artichoke hearts, capers, black and green olives, and Italian herbs, served with marinated grilled shrimp. There's a tourist-themed menu, the Sunset Menu, and while the sunset isn't very visible from the restaurant, it's a nice touch. A second After Seven menu aims for a younger professional set, with more contemporary fare like seared ahi with seaweed salad.
