Mei Long Village Restaurant Review:

Mei Long Village's xiaolongbao (small soupy dumplings) are the subject of many Mandarin-inflected conversations in this part of town. Other wheat-based snacks cover the menu --- they are typical street grub in Shanghai. These include pot stickers and shenjianbao (pan-fried jiaozi and baozi, respectively), scallion pancakes and the sweet red bean pancakes. Specialties include Shanghai spare ribs and jellyfish. There are also several home-style dishes echoing the everyday meals of eastern China, along with the more gentrified American-Chinese offerings like kung pao dishes. The room is nothing to write home about, but it is more than made up for in the Chinese delicacies on the menu.
