Moderne Barn Restaurant Review:

The Livanos family has decades of restaurant expertise so any of their ventures will demonstrate culinary distinction, and this Armonk eatery is no exception. A ranch house exterior gives way to a rustic interior, and photographs of wild horses from artist Roberto Dutesco provide inspiration for the "Barn" in the name. The seasonal Mediterranean and New American menu presents such starters as the colorful and flavorful salad medley of lacinato kale, Granny Smith apples, cracked wheat, Maytag blue cheese, toasted hazelnuts and apple cider vinaigrette. Flatbread pizzas have inventive topping combinations: shiitake mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, caramelized onions, garlic, spinach and ricotta. Entrées include the thick-cut pork chop served with provolone polenta, roasted red bell peppers, Spanish onions and balsamic vinegar rosemary sauce.
