Nakato Japanese Restaurant Restaurant Review:

Choose a table in the main dining room, a seat at the large sushi bar, or enjoy a chef’s personal cooking and show in the hibachi room, a good experience for children, who have a special menu. Tatami rooms also are available; leave your shoes at the entrance for this one. So what to have: Assemble small dishes, from sushi to cooked nibbles, such as shrimp-stuffed shu mai, and roam the menu. Order sushi first so that you're not dining on all your dishes at once, as it seems slow to arrive. If seated in the main dining room, consider gindara, miso-marinated grilled black cod, sweet and moist and still slightly translucent. Grilled eggplant with miso and black sesame seeds supplies a vegetable break. Chawan mushi --- a steamed custardy egg dish --- enrobes seafood. Desserts are offered, but the bill may be presented before you have had a chance to order one. The saké list is first-rate, but all are 300 ml. so the solo diner may want to check out the beer list --- Orion is a good choice. The wine list is not worthy of the establishment. Service can be a bit off-key, and the hibachi chefs vary widely in their enthusiasm for their labors.
