A chic, uncluttered interior and one of the city's best outdoor patio spaces are just two of Nolan Kitchen’s most appealing features. The menu, meanwhile, proposes a variety of American classics. Start with a house-made dip (we suggest the white bean and chives option); PEI mussels, rich with tomato, lemon and white wine; or “angry” shrimp, with garlic, Sriracha peppers and oil, with a glass of wine at Crescent bar. Consider as well the bacon-wrapped meatloaf, spinach pie or savory sandwiches, such as the souvlaki wrap. An extensive gluten-free menu is available for lunch and dinner, with many of the same items that are on the regular menu but accompanied by appropriate sides and embellishments. The dessert list and hours make it a suitable late-night, post-theater stop. Wine offerings present good values and plenty of quality by-the-glass choices. Half-off bottles of wine on Tuesday nights, and other specials that vary depending on the day of the week, lead to a packed bar area.
