Ruth's Chris Steak House Restaurant Review:
Ruth’s Chris is located in Boston's former City Hall, a National Historic Landmark in Downtown Crossing. Stop by for a glass of Cabernet at Curley’s, the bar named after late Boston Mayor James Michael Curley, before heading into the dimly lit main dining room. The interior of the restaurant is designed in typical steakhouse fashion with high ceilings, dark wood and white-clothed tables. For a more intimate experience, request a table in the lower level dining room. Large parties should request a table in the Vault Room for a unique experience. Forget counting calories when you come here as the menu is over-the-top indulgent --- crab cakes and chopped salads; New York strips sizzling in butter, porterhouses for two; creamed spinach and sweet potato casserole; and bread pudding with whiskey sauce. While the restaurant sometimes exudes its chain status, the steaks here are certainly all they should be.
