Patrons sink into comfortable leather banquettes under period lighting and huge blowups of film glitterati---Frank, Bogie, the Hepburns, Niven, Marilyn and more. Drink possibilities are wide-ranging: a wine list that offers 36 wines by the glass, a beer menu with ten labels on draft, a spirits list that wraps itself around several eras with everything from a Side Car to a Tom Collins to kitschy martinis. Food is handled more deftly than one might expect from such a broad menu---hearty fare such as Colorado lamb porterhouse chops and filet mignon with bacon and a horseradish crust, lighter items like an arugula seafood salad with shrimp, scallops and shaved Parmesan. In between are the expected burgers, clubs and pulled pork, plus miso-glazed sea bass and seared sea scallops with mushroom risotto and sautéed spinach. Look into the warm donuts with bananas Foster or classic New York cheesecake.
