THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Top of the Hub Restaurant Review:
Perched on the 52nd floor of the Prudential Center, Top of the Hub features floor-to-ceiling, two-story windows with 360-degree views of the city, from Cambridge to Southie. It's a special occasion spot for locals, and the prices reflect this. (Go easy on your pocketbook with the three-course lunch served on weekdays.) A creative lunch take on the traditional burger yields Kobe beef hot dog sliders with mustard and onion piccalilli on buttery grilled brioche buns. At dinner, guests can order à la carte or select the five-course tasting menu. Wine pairings are also available. Starters range from yellowfin tuna tartare with taro chips and duck confit pappardelle to a jumbo lump crab meat cake and pan-seared foie gras. We recommend the pan-seared swordfish, jumbo sea scallops, and the 12-ounce New York strip topped with marrow butter. The chocolate-encased Boston cream pie makes an appropriate end to the meal. Stop by the lounge for a nightcap and listen to live jazz. When making a reservation, be sure to request a window table.
