Mission Inn Restaurant Restaurant Review: About the restaurant & décor: One of several dining rooms at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, a grand property with a rich history and a guest list that has included Hollywood royalty and ten U.S. presidents, is the Mission Inn Restaurant. The preferred seating is al fresco on the Spanish patio, a courtyard in which the majesty of the hotel --- a mélange of architecture dominated by Spanish Mission Revival --- is wonderfully captured.
Food & Drinks: Start with pan-seared Dungeness crab cake with avocado relish and beurre blanc, or an eggplant and mozzarella napoleon with balsamic reduction, before moving on to pan-seared salmon with red wine vinaigrette, pastas or filet mignon. Finish with a crème brûlée while draining a bottle of wine from a list with ample selections from both the Old and New Worlds. Sunday brunch on the patio is an Inland Empire tradition, and it’s always a treat to visit on evenings during the holiday season, when more than 3.5 million lights turn the hotel into a Christmas showcase. |
