A recent find, offering typical Mexican dishes balanced with a selection of Peruvian foods along with several Italian dishes. Mexican choices include favorites like tacos and enchiladas filled with pulled pork and sweet pepper sauce. Brocheta are your choice of charbroiled beef, shrimp or pork served with fried beans, rice and salad. Italian choices include beef or pork scallopine breaded and deep-fried then served with salad, rice and french fries. Pasta is offered with a special green sauce and Italian-style tripe with tomatoes and onions is given a twist by the addition of cilantro. Peruvian dishes include a fantastic seafood soup called parihuela, in the style of a French bouillabaisse. Loaded with clams, mussels, shrimp and squid in a bright tomato broth. Ask for it spicy for an extra kick. Several ceviches are offered on the menu. We suggest the ceviche de camarones made from fresh shrimp marinated in lemon juice and onions (order this spicy, too). Not much for ambience, unless you think a large screen TV is an important part of your dining experience. The restaurant is quiet most evenings. The servers serve, and then leave you to enjoy your dinner.
