: Dining was always the centerpiece of my nana’s home, says the owner of this trattoria named in her honor. This warm and comfortable restaurant, along with the recipes he has replicated, is indeed a loving tribute to his grandmother. Her portrait hangs over the fireplace; wedding photos of family members and Nana B’s artifacts, memorabilia, table linens, lace curtains, china and flatware are reminiscent of a bygone era. Toasted ravioli with Nana’s sugo (meat-flavored tomato sauce) is a specialty, as is Nana’s chicken with celery, carrots, escarole and baby meatballs. Go for the steak ubriaco, a 12-ounce New York cut topped with mushrooms in a Chianti glaze, with hot cherry peppers (on request), or the spit-roasted chicken that’s crusted with a Sicilian herb-garlic-olive oil blend.
