Nico's 1508 in Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto neighborhood occupies a multi-level, 70-seat space that was long home to Chester's Bayview Cafe and briefly Nico's Hideaway. The restaurant from executive chef and restaurateur Munther Massarweh (Wildfox, The Speakeasy Barbeque) features seasonal California cuisine. There is a nightly happy hour from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. featuring half off appetizers, bottles of wine and signature cocktails. The roomy setting also has a rooftop patio and sidewalk café seating.
