Nikki C's Restaurant Review:

A true neighborhood tavern, Nikki C’s attracts a lively crowd at the bar, while the dining room on the other side of a divider draws largely an older group. The intimate, dimly lit space, scattered with some thoroughbred racing memorabilia (the restaurant is not too far from Santa Anita Park) offers cozy booths beneath pendant lights and some candlelit tables topped with black linen, producing a clubby feel. The menu is filled with familiar, unfussy dishes, including starters like a shrimp cocktail martini, Caesar salad, and tasty lobster-crab cakes with rémoulade. Pastas and risottos, along with fish ‘n’ chips, osso buco, cioppino and steaks, are featured entrées. A very respectable tiramisu may conclude a meal.
