Nooshi Restaurant Review: When the owners of Oodles Noodles, Yanÿu and Spices put their heads together, look out. This venture is a complete revamping of their downtown Oodles Noodles, with stylish gold-toned wallpaper and elegant seating. A very clever sushi chef mans the sushi bar, a diverse selection of sushi appetizers and entrées including maki rolls and elegant sashimi platters and a full array of pan-Asian dishes. Don't be surprised to find a few touches imported from their other restaurants, including a half Peking duck prepared Yanÿu-style, and some of the big noodle dishes that have such a following at Spices. A multi-course feast here might include ultra-fresh sushi, Peking duck, luscious orange beef, a calamari appetizer and various noodle dishes, especially our favorite, the curry laksa, a fiery import from Malaysia. |
