Old Marco Pub & Restaurant Restaurant Review:
With only about 20 tables, Old Marco seems overwhelmed by customers and demands on the kitchen, but chef Ettore Mancini has a creative and consistent approach. Be sure to ask about specials---there is no way to predict just what one night's menu will cover. Some staples, though, are appetizers such as sautéed jumbo shrimp, baked clams oreganato or clams Casino. Entrées can include veal saltimbocca with a mix of veal scallops served in a butter-and-wine sauce. There usually is a baked stuffed grouper---one of Florida's specialties---or shrimp stuffed with crab meat in a garlic-white wine sauce over pasta, another Florida standard. Dessert options are few but very stylish and worth saving room for.
