You can’t spend time in the Mid-South and not try local farm-raised catfish, usually fried and served with hushpuppies and slaw on the side. Traditionally, a favorite place to try catfish, whether fried, blackened or grilled, has been Olive Branch Catfish Co. Sadly, consistency in service and quality has slipped in recent years, so it might not be worth the 30 minute drive to Olive Branch, Mississippi---not when good fried catfish can be found in Memphis proper. But if you are in the neighborhood, check it out; you could be lucky, and the catfish will be fine. This is an original, and you can't beat the authentic, bustling atmosphere.
