Olive Garden Restaurant Review:
This chain restaurant brings a mass-market version of Italian cuisine to the public. The décor of stucco walls, beamed ceilings and terra-cotta floors is formulaic, but still pleasant. Indeed, the atmosphere gives a feeling of abundance and good cheer. The wines are low priced, and while many of the dishes may not be our idea of traditional antipasti, the public keeps coming for fried offerings such as zucchini, mozzarella, ravioli and calamari. From the extensive menu that includes seafood and steaks as well, you can do alright with a lasagna or linguine marinara, or make your own breadstick pizza. Selections from the Lighter Italian Fare menu offer garlic-rosemary chicken and other dinner options under 575 calories. There are also gluten-free dishes available. Cheesecake and tiramisu are among the desserts.
