THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Oliver's Prime Steakhouse Restaurant Review:

The Grafton on Sunset intends for Oliver's Prime Steakhouse to be a Sunset Strip hangout --- and no expense has been spared in the sleek, sexy décor. The intimate dining room, which was once the home of BOA Steakhouse, features stylish circular leather banquettes and metallic accents amid atmospheric lighting. (Keep in mind that the room can get noisy.) There's also a bar with a few seats by the entrance, a semi-private room and a small patio with views of the pool below and the lights of L.A. in the distance. Oliver's offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and also handles room service. Highlights among the appetizers include the American Wagyu beef tartare and asparagus with brioche, Gruyère, prosciutto and a fried egg. The latter is quite filling and reminded us of a croque madame. The LED illuminated menus follow the typical steakhouse formula, with various rubs and sauces to accompany Creekstone Farms Prime Black Angus steaks. The filet of bison is served a bit too charred on the outside for our taste. À la carte sides include wild mushrooms with shishito peppers, charred corn, and lobster macaroni and cheese that is a little light on the lobster. Executive chef Greg Elkin is also keen on spotlighting seafood. Cheesecake egg rolls are a fun twist on the classic dessert; the bread pudding is satisfying. Expect handcrafted cocktails and a high-end wine list. A nightcap can also be enjoyed at Bar 20, the hotel's lounge.
