Olivo Restaurant Review:

You’ll get a good Italian meal in decidedly jolly surroundings here: colours are yellows and blues, service is brisk. The menu is thoroughly dependable with its typical Sardinian bottarga, or dried mullet roe, grated onto spaghetti. Main courses rely on char-grilling, so try salmon with parsley and anchovy sauce, or a simple chicken escalope with fresh herbs. Desserts are good, but go for the Italian cheeses. The all-Italian wine list is pricey. Olivo is very much a local restaurant with a loyal local clientele which makes for a great atmosphere. An expansion includes a pizza and pasta restaurant, Oliveto, in nearby Elizabeth Street and the smart seafood restaurant, Olivomare, in Lower Belgrave St. Set 2-course lunch £23, 3 courses £27.50.
