Orient by the Sea Restaurant Review:

This family-owned restaurant has been a stopping point for Cross Sound Ferry passengers as well as locals for more than thirty years. Bob Haase offers a menu of seafood to be enjoyed overlooking the bay. A star of the lunch and dinner menus is local lobster, served with butter sauce for dipping at dinner, or on a roll or in a salad at lunchtime. Appetizers of fresh local oysters or clams are good for raw bar lovers. Baked clams are seasoned and filled with a special secret breading, and the fried and broiled fisherman's catch is sure to offer you the best and freshest fish and seafood of the day. You’ll find a few other choices, like scallops wrapped in bacon, crab-stuffed mushrooms and New England-style clam chowder. Chicken francese, roast duckling with raspberry sauce and sirloin strip steak are also available. Outdoor seating overlooks Gardiner's Bay, and with a glass of crisp white wine, it's a great spot to spend a sunny summer afternoon or evening.
