The Original Pancake House Restaurant Review:

Founded in Portland, Oregon, The Original Pancake House has been in the Dallas area since 1987 and now has six locations around the metroplex offering a breakfast menu that highlights fresh ingredients. Most of the dishes have been culled from family recipes, and the décor is family-oriented, too, with plenty of comfortable booths. Expect long wait times on the weekends. Favorites include the French-rolled baked omelets, baked apple pancakes with Chinese cinnamon and the original German Dutch baby, made with sourdough yeast and served with lots of butter, lemon and powdered sugar. The lunch menu features sandwiches, salads, a half-pound burger, and a soup of the day that varies from baked potato to chicken tortilla, paired with a biscuit. Coffee service parades a variety of options like French press, lattes and espressos, and the oranges and grapefruits in the juices are squeezed daily. There's a children’s menu and gluten-free options as well.
