Osteria La Zucca Restaurant Review:

This cute little place is located on one of the smaller canals in the Santa Croce section of Venice, which is closest to the station and Piazzale Roma. You can eat outside weather permitting, at one of the four tables for two in front. La Zucca (the pumpkin) specializes in vegetarian dishes. The menu offers pumpkin flan, of course, but also an asparagus flan covered in cheese. Zucchini and almonds lasagna would be an excellent choice as well. As an alternative, choose from meat dishes such as rabbit in white wine or roasted lamb. Why not follow it all with a blueberry-topped homemade ice cream? An array of Italian wines is available.
