P.F. Chang's China Bistro Restaurant Review:
Located at Irvine Spectrum Center in front of Edwards Theaters, this renovated branch of the P.F. Chang's empire was practically tailor-made for the dinner-and-a-movie date crowd. A bustling scene and friendly service are apparent, as at all of the Chang's siblings. Fans will recognize that this outpost uses darker tones and intimate lighting to create a slightly more upscale vibe. This provides a unique setting to dig into some of the chain's most popular items, like the salt and pepper calamari starter or the kung pao chicken. More advanced fare such as the chicken wings doused in Hunan sauce, the wild-caught sea bass with Asian mushrooms or the wok-fried filet mignon feel like a good fit for the backdrop. For dessert, we recommend the banana spring rolls. The fairly extensive selection of wines by the glass does a good job of complementing the range of dishes.
