Hang with Healdsburg’s art underground at this well-lighted Bohemian café, hidden up an alley off the main drag. Diners on couches and furry piano benches hunch over sketchbooks and laptops under a corrugated, galvanized-steel ceiling with wood beams, or in a light bulb-strewn courtyard shared by an art studio. Most nights, ad hoc songwriters, crooners and instrument toters meld and entertain, a key draw. The cropped menu includes a handful of starters (best bet: chunky tuna tartare with olive tapenade), a half dozen salads such as tuna niçoise and asparagus with fingerlings, plus a quartet of entrées, two of which are filling pastas. Dishes arrive on colorful art glass accompanied by curly-tipped utensils. Otherwise the food resembles something you might make at home on a weeknight---but then you’d miss the scene. Decent wines by the glass make it especially linger-worthy.
