THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED PGA Tour Grill Restaurant Review:
THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Sited near the home of the PGA Tour’s DC tournament in Rockville, this restaurant is a golfer’s dream destination, except, of course, the food and ambience are much more than sports-bar specific. Indeed, we find the setting muted and tame enough for visiting relatives who are only armchair athletes. With all that, however, you’ll discover the usual suspects: Caesar salad and crab soup, hamburgers and wood-roasted chicken, Atlantic salmon and filet mignon. That the chef excels at his job only helps matters. But we also note a few flaws---or shots in the rough: a peach cobbler with a spongy cake topping; a spinach-and-artichoke dip with stale dippers; and a pizza that needs a maxi-cheese boost. But no one will argue with the blueberry cheesecake ice cream for dessert.
