Piadina Restaurant Review:
This little basement restaurant remains one of Manhattan's relatively undiscovered treasures. The dimly lit dining room is a hangout for the ultra-hip, quasi-celebrity crowd, but somehow maintains its unpretentious vibe---ask the host for a table in the back and you'll discover what we mean. Begin with bruschetta or asparagus with prosciutto and ricotta, and follow with the gnocchi verde or any of the other nicely done pastas. The fish of the day is always notable, and for dessert, go for the panna cotta with a shot of espresso.
