Pier 2934 Cajun Seafood Restaurant Review:
Housed in a former Vietnamese restaurant, this small Georgetown eatery is inviting enough with very pleasant staff, but the food seems less than the Cajun-inspired promised fare. Stop by for lunch to find a dining area lined on one wall with a “help yourself” salad bar, consisting mainly of chopped veggies and relishes. The extensive menu covers all aspects of Cajun seafood, however, from fried oyster or shrimp po’ boys to crab cakes (Maryland) and oysters, grilled catfish, fried shrimp, New England clam chowder, boiled Cajun-style seafood and baskets of fried fish with Cajun fries. The limited dessert selection includes only two Cajon-style sweets: beignets and funnel cake. If the menu does not seem Cajun enough, décor is certainly Southern and sets the tone.
