THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Pierrot Bistrot Francais Restaurant Review:

Pierrot is a French bistro in the truest sense of the term, located in tony Beacon Hill (near the hospitals) but serving up authentic fare at modest prices. The space is warm and cozy, dotted with posters depicting its eponym, and many on staff greet you with expats' accents. Meanwhile, the menu is in keeping with the maison-spun mood, laden with robust traditional dishes. Starters include escargots in a savory garlic butter, house-made pâté, foie gras and tender steak tartare. As for entrées, think beef burgundy, baked salmon, mussels in white wine sauce, and not-your-typical steak frites (Pierrot’s is made with dry-aged beef). The wine list focuses heavily on France with the California coastline coming in a close second and some nice surprises from New Zealand and Argentina rounding out the selections. Desserts include made-to-order soufflés, an assortment of pastries and a rich flourless chocolate cake.
