![]() : A sparse black-and-white space accented by flourishes of colorful art and chalkboards trumpeting a deep collection of craft brews, this laid-back venue exudes a hip vibe. The set-up creates the ideal stage for chef/owner Jason Quinn, who has parlayed his success with mobile kitchen The Lime Truck into a culinary concept that emphasizes contemporary dishes. The menu changes daily --- it's updated online no later than 3 p.m. --- and is drawn up based on whatever combination of fresh, sustainable ingredients and personal inspiration comes to Quinn and his crew. Dishes can feature simple foundations ranging from roasted vegetables to steaks and chops augmented with the likes of pomegranate molasses, or they can tout more elaborate constructions such as roasted bone marrow, grilled pork collar and non-breaded fried chicken. Desserts follow suit, as intriguing components extending from beer to salted caramel make routine appearances. Those looking for a quick drink should note that the list of libations is filled with unique offerings, including artisan cocktails and a wealth of craft beers produced by some of Southern California's most notable breweries. |
