THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Prana Restaurant Review:

Prana is one of those ambitious restaurants that tries to be all things to all people. The white-on-white dining room is turned into a nightclub (in conjunction with Temple downstairs) after dinner service, and it shows in the place's sexy feel, with low lighting, lounge-y beats and an impressive array of antiquities and statues from Southeast Asia. Specialty cocktails, such as an inspired take on the mojito, add to the overall clubby vibe. The food reaches for a level of sensuality as well, with a cuisine that can best be described as California-inspired Indian with Southeast Asian accents. There are hits and misses: short rib-stuffed pot stickers are meaty with just the right amount of crispness and chewiness, and a tandoori chicken entrée shines, with flavorful, juicy meat and a cooling yogurt dipping sauce. On the other hand, heavily fried appetizers, such as goat cheese-stuffed eggplant pakora, tend to be on the gummy side, and seared scallops may be chewy. Accommodating servers are more than happy to handle special requests. Given that it already feels like something of a nightclub, Prana might be best for grabbing a few bites before a night out on the town.
