Set in a tiki-style bamboo atmosphere, this spot definitely puts an emphasis on “lounge”---as in make sure you have plenty of time. Service can be slow so do not arrive hungry. You can get the usual coconut shrimp and crab cakes, which are fairly standard, or for something heartier, opt for the assorted satays, which come with beef, chicken, shrimp and scallops. Lunch offers burgers and fish sandwiches. You might enjoy the view of South Kihei Road more than the fare, so get a table outside and people-watch while you’re waiting. Dinner entrées include steak and seafood, but for the best deal in the area, get the three course prix-fixe that comes with your choice of salad or soup, the catch of the day, grilled shrimp or New York strip steak, and ice cream or sherbet for dessert. Drinks may be the main draw here, and you’ll find the selection of tropical cocktails fine for starting your night out.
