R.B.'s Seafood Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant is the scenic home to this unabashedly touristy seafood restaurant. It features a nautical theme that approaches Disney-esque dimensions of intensity, and sits in view of offshore fishing boats and authentic shrimping boats side-by-side with scavenging seagulls and beer-swilling sailors. The surprise in this normally "run for your life" restaurant is that the food is dependably sound. Truly tasty traditional fried platters, racks of raw oysters, decadent crab cocktails and big slabs of cake and Key lime pie fill out the offerings at R.B.'s. While it is not an appropriate place for the food snob, it'll definitely make you feel like you are on vacation. The seasonally changing wine list focuses on America, with New Zealand and France as the main sources for the out-of-country alternatives. The downstairs back porch bar is the one spot allowing the family pooch to accompany you to dinner.
